Hi its the end of the weekend again, Lovely weather today hot at last. Searching for a while about gardening in past years and how they used to do things, not much different than today actually. Been a good week finished the Walderslade job and moving back to Lords Wood to finish that. Then onto Rainham to build a new fence.
Happy Days!!

This Sunday was a bit different, had to stop a leak in the guttering, got some spray from B&Q, looks good, what a messy thing to use, went everywhere, still cleared up ok.
Oh the leak, well thats still there, will have another go tomorrow, need to build up the layer I think.
Apart from that excitement, has not a bad weekend. Start of a new week, still waiting for this hardwood Decking to turn up, this is getting a bit boring now.
See you all soon!!

Well what a week, still waiting for the Hardwood Decking suppliers are not what they use to be. Two refunds later and I am still waiting.
One excuse was that it was help up at customs, original!!
Still on a better note, got on well with the paving and softwood deck, nearly finished it. A total of 60 sq m of paving so a fair bit, and the deck was 7.4m x 2.7 so that was a good size as well.
Rutland paving in three sizes. Looks good.
See you all soon!!

well the start of the week has gone well, finished the frame for the deck, just got to secure the boards on now, then its onto the paving. Rutland paving three sizes 6x6, 6x3, 3x3 these sizes make a great pattern.
Mind I think the weather is more like March than July at the moment. Still no matter what is thrown at me I still come bouncing back.
See you all soon!!

Hello Sunday Again. I have had an interesting week you might say, I was let down by a supplier of hardwood Deck Boards, so had to leave the job unfinished, which I really hate doing, the customer was so kind and supporting, so have to go back and do that, had numerous phone calls, some with work which is great others from Advertising companies who seemed to think I am made of money, saying they can get me on page one of Google, they obviously don't look at the internet as I am already on page one.
Still starting a Deck and patio job in Lords Wood Monday, until the Hardwood turns up.
Happy Days see you all soon!!

Been let down badly today by a timber supplier of Hardwood decking, tried to palm off so old stock that looked as if it had been sitting around for a long time. Now I either to wait at least 5 days for some fresh timber to come in, or phone around to try and get it somewhere else. Not a happy bunny!!

Sunday evening once more, has been a good weekend, seen a couple of jobs today so got to do the quotes, still a little time yet to get them done. Just watched Zorro on TV again, like the film seen it a couple of times now. Looking out into the area and the fields out of my window, it is very quite, nice and peaceful, watch something spoil it.
Wherever you are hope you have had a great weekend. Have a look at the rest of the site.
Have got a special deal coming soon on the Astro Turf service!! Keep visiting!!

well thats the end of an eventful week, has been a wet one as well. Trying to work in this weather at the moment takes some organizing. Still got the decking frame done, some brickwork and the rendering of the walls, not bad considering.
The hardwood deck boards are being delivered on Monday, so hope to get those down by Wednesday, please no more rain. Then to finish off some small amount of paving, and some copings on top of the wall and the second coat of rendering, not in that order I hasten to add.
Have a great weekend all!!

Got the frame done for the decking I have started in Walderslade. Just to do the adjustments leveling and that. 60mm Screws are great to hold everything tight together. Hardwood Deck boards this one. Should not have to drill a pilot hole, these turbogold screws do not split timber, Hardwood usually doesn't split anyway. Its Yellow Balua timber from the far east, mostly Indonesia. A very tough timber and a warm colour. This type of timber do not need any treatment, perhaps the occasional oil spread over it but thats it.
Going to look great!! Have used this type of wood many times and it always comes up trumps.

Hello Sunday night again. Last week was very good, a grateful customer and several inquiries so that was great. The week ahead looks fine as well, starting a new and paving scheme in Walderslade. Trying to get a discount offer for August so watch this space. Just need to get the figures sorted.
Having materials delivered and collected locally is great because there is sometimes a small amount needed to finish the job, so internet paving is very awkward for this and time consuming, and above it can be very expensive should you only want one or two pieces.
Take care all!!

Well another Saturday hits the dust. Starting another scheme on Monday. This one is a mixture of products, decking, paving, rendering of walls and copings.
The weather man says its going to be fine, hope hes right. Neil is finishing off a brick wall that had to be done. So he will be with me on Wednesday I hope.
Had my Granddaughter Amber round today, we went shopping and then she came back to our house for some dinner. I was amazed that she knew how to work my computer, CBeebies website gives little ones a chance to do all sorts of things like painting, building. She is not four until October, thats what a private school does for you I guess. Well Done Amber!!
Proud Granddad signing off now see you all soon.
