Saturday afternoon is deadly for me, after the week of work if I sit down to watch TV or just rest thats it I am off to sleep almost every time.
The time just catches up with me. Been to see a job today so that took a little while off the time, still fell asleep about an hour, feel better for it though. I had an Uncle who had sleep every Sunday afternoon without fail, he actually went to bed must be good for you because he lived to nearly 90.
So have a great sleep
See you all soon!!

Started the Sidcup garden and its taking shape, the frame for the decking is almost done, supports cemented into the ground so its very sturdy. A little more frame to do and then its deck boards, we have done some of the boards already just need to get a roll of weed membrane and the rest can be screwed into place. Visit the decking page to have a look. See you all soon!!!

Whilst waiting for the match to start, apart from doing this blog, I have charged up the batteries all four of them for the decking tomorrow, should be enough to get me through the day. Two drills on the go and torx screws to go. Hoping to hear from some jobsd soon so we can get them booked in. See you all soon!!

We had a postponement today also so we are able to delivery your garden work sooner than expected. This is the first delay by a customer we have had this year so not too bad. The upside of it is that I might have some time to catch up on paperwork, but I would sooner be working. Give us a call to get a scheme booked in. Dont forget to visit Tescos in Gillingham and pick up one of my cards near the stamp machine, produce this at the time of Peters visit to quote and get a 10 per cent discount. See you all soon!!

Doing the usual thing today, been to see some work, and now for dinner soon. Got a small job to do next week and then start the Sidcup job, fencing and decking, a fair amount about 12 to 15 days. So a lot of travelling, and start early. The whole garden is to have a new fence surround, the deck is rather big, with a full step in front. Will enhance the garden and deliver a family plot for entertaining. As regards to booking work in to be done looks like around 4 weeks time. See you all soon!!

Hello what another week we have had, finishing off the shorne job, just one or two days then the davis estate scheme. The rain is still a factor, when will it stop. Pictures of the shorne design will follow soon. Saturday is a day for me of routine, shopping in the morning, then if I sit down in the afternoon its a fair bet I might doze for about an hour, always catches up with me then, today was no different. Some pricing to do so that will keep me awake. See you all soon!!

Today is Sunday and the footy is on at the moment, being fathers day I had a visit from Hayley my daughter, and Amber my Granddaughter. They bought me a desk usb fan a welcomed gift as I do get hot sometimes doing quotes and the like so it will come in handy. Where do little ones get their energy from, I suppose the same place we all got it from when we were their age. Monday is fast approaching and I am really hoping for dry weather as its pointing slabs time, and dry weather is what you need to do this, even the gazebos are no use, because the paving will get wet and thats it for the day or until they dry off. I cant begin to say, as I already may have said in earlier blogs, how much this weather is holding and ruining the schedules. At the present I have clients that are understanding the delays, I must thank them for their patience. See you all soon!!

The weekend is here, what another week we have had, more rain to contend with, but we have finished the paving and started to point them in. As well as preparing the ground ready for the new lawn area to be laid. Monday they say is going to be wet, hope not we do really need to finish the pointing, gazebos are no good as the paving outside the gazebo area will get wet, and we cant do the pointing on those slabs that are wet. Cant win, need dry days. See you all soon!!

A gazebo day today, to keep the rain off the work, have got two now so we can work well. Not pleased with tescos though, the box says it 3m x 3m, well it isnt its 2.4m x 2.4m not happy. Still only cost £14.97 so cant complain too much, pity about the size. Got the small circle done and surrounding area. Using Rutland slabs Mellow Stone, nice slab to use, circles can be tricky but if you take your time its worth it. No emails yet! See you all soon!!

Today is one of those days when I am not sure what to do, a bit bored I suppose, sorted the garage out, have put some items into the plastic containers I bought a few weeks ago. The idea is that when we do decking, take this container full of screw boxes and so on. Its neater and should make me not forget anything, I hear Neil going, yeah right wonder how long that will last. I am one of those people I have write things down, else I forget, always been like that. Years ago on a TV shopping channel there was this memory course, so I thought lets give it a go, so I did. It taught you to remember things in a picture, like if I said to you the word elephant, you immedialtly think of an elephant, you dont see the word you see the animal. So off I go and halfway through the course I thought this is great, and I did start to remember things. It went onto to teach you 20 items to tag things you wanted to remember. For instance number one was a tree, because a tree was the symbol of a tree, get the idea, so I was tagging things to a tree in my mind, one time I had so many things hanging off the bloody thing you could not see the leaves, haha!. Anyway then I thought one day what makes you remember to tag items. So I went on forgetting to tag, and the rest is history, great course though, but do need another course to get me to remember to tag, can you see a circle being made here. See you all soon!! probably tagged to a tree hahaha!

Hello, our name Medway Bespoke is who we are. The word bespoke means "The distinguishing points of bespoke tailoring are the buyer's total control over the fabric used, the features and fit, and the way the garment should be made. More generally, "bespoke" describes a high degree of " customisation", and involvement of the end-user, in the production of the goods." Put that in context of garden landscaping, means its easy to draw straight lines and angles on paper, on large scale garden schemes even the ruler can be mistaken, this is why we create a garden that is in all tense and purposes as close to the drawing as conditions allow. When we put down bases for instance they can be re-calculated when needed. All specifications are always approxiamate when dealing with paving and there is no getting away from that fact. The end line is that concrete and soil is and always will be hard to move into a slot where it will just not fit, no matter how good the drawing is, so some degree of understanding is required on both parties. The main thing to remember when you create a drawing, is that its just an outline sketch nothing more. So give us your drawings and leave the rest to us! See you all soon!!

Hello the past week has been rather tense, the job is starting to get awkward, as regards to details the plan is that we have to create a patio for a client near gravesend, the base has been put down, but like with all large jobs some measurements need twitching as we go alone. Slabs are Rutland in three sizes and two circles, the whole plan looks great. But as we get to lay the slabs bases do need to be aligned as go along, we put down a concrete base so its easier to do this and you can get a precise cut, as with type 1 you can lift the stones but then are left with an opening to fill with something like sand and cement. Site meetings are very important with large jobs, it allows everyone to get a clear idea of what needs to be done. Being on show can prove stressful sometimes but we get through it. The picture at the end will show how good it will look. As with major works in your garden maintenance of grounds would be better to be held off as long as you can as other items near the works may cause unnecessary damage to surroundings. See you all soon!!
