Sunday morning lovely, went to see a job yesterday that requires Astro Turf in the front garden, the lady said she has had the product before so knows what to expect. Time to use the new supplier I think. They sent me samples and they are fine, good prices as well.
We cement in treated timbers around the edge to act as a carpet gripper, and we attach the turf to that using staples.
Looks great and the look of it when it has dew or water on it and the suns shines is very striking, it glistens. Great effect!! Give it some thought, no more mowing, and you will the greenish lawn in the summer when your neighbours go brown.
See you all soon!!

Not a bad day, weather has been great, the cement was going off too quick. Neil had laid a concrete path and it was dry at the end of the day. Keep watering the garden, especially those new lawns.
Happy Easter to all Chocoholics !!

At this time of year some of us maybe thinking to having a lawn laid, great news it is one of the best times to have it done. In the past few years April has been one of the warmest months and this year so far is the same, so go ahead and have your lawn laid. But the most important thing is never ever let it dry out, an example of what might happen is at the top of Ash Tree Lane in Chatham, they have been building some new homes, and the grass verge opposite the entrance to the area there is some grass, recently laid, which has not had the rain or has been watered, the result, well seeing is believing it has curled up, the gaps between each piece of turf is now so big, and its gone brown.
We spend a lot of cash for having a nice new lawn laid perfectly, only to let it do this, waste of money!! So please if you have a lawn laid please remember it is a new plant and water it, water it, water it!!!
